Plant & manufacturing systems
Monitoring, utilisation and data systems for heavy industry — built to run reliably on the plant floor, integrated with the process systems you already have.
Much of this work is for Tata Steel, where our systems have run in production for years and we're now modernising key plant systems for the Electric Arc Furnace transition at Port Talbot. Plant software has to survive shift patterns, harsh environments and decades of accumulated process knowledge — we design for all three.
Mathematical optimisation
Solver-driven optimisation of real industrial processes — charge balancing, scheduling, resource allocation — where a better answer is worth millions.
We built the optimisation behind Tata Steel's charge balance model using the Gurobi solver, saving around £3m a year in raw material costs. The hard part isn't the mathematics alone — it's formulating the real constraints of a working plant and delivering answers operators trust.
Enterprise software development

We ship our own consumer product — Harbour, our co-parenting app — so we know what it takes to design, release and run an app end to end, not just build one and hand it over.

Good reporting starts with well-defined data. We build the foundations — dictionaries, models, pipelines — and the dashboards on top, including the data and KPI groundwork for Tata Steel's new furnace operation.
